Takapuna is a destination for eating and activities. A diverse range of popular cafés, restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance of the Emerald Inn. Relax and enjoy a picnic on the beach with many takeaway options available.

An 8-minute drive to North Shore Hospital. 10-min drive to Devonport ferry. 15 min drive to Auckland central. 35-minute drive to Auckland Airport. Our preferred transport method is Uber.

Shore City is your local shopping centre with a New World Supermarket located inside. Do not miss the Takapuna Sunday market bursting with local produce and crafts.

Visit Lake Pupuke — the 150,000-year-old volcano-turned-lake — for water sports including kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing.

The closest gym to the Emerald Inn is just a 2-minute walk away or visit the Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre. Both welcome casual visitors
